Our School Facilities
Classrooms
Our school provides spacious, well-ventilated classrooms equipped with desks, boards, and essential learning materials, creating a comfortable and effective environment for students to learn.
The school has a substantial number of classrooms that accommodate our growing student population. In response to increasing enrollment, additional classrooms are currently being developed to support the introduction of Grade 11 and Grade 12 under the 1-6-6 education structure.
Library
Our library is located under the school administration building. It is named Rita'Kou Kilepak Memorial Library. It's our school's resourceful library with books, magazines, and digital learning resources to support research and reading habits.
These digital computers provide advanced learning for students, particularly e-library where students access library books online and digitally. It's been donated by BSP Lae Commercial Center team as part of its 2024 Community Project.
Tap Water Access
Our school provides access to clean and safe tap water, ensuring that students and staff maintain proper hygiene, stay hydrated, and learn in a healthy environment.
The tap waters are provided around the classrooms and open areas where students can easily access.
School Canteen
Our school canteen provides a variety of food items carefully prepared to promote healthy eating among students. Unlike outside street vendors, the canteen offers food that is monitored and aligned with school health standards, ensuring students receive safe, nutritious, and balanced meals throughout the day.
Playing Field
The school provides an open and safe playing field where students can participate in sports, physical activities, and recreational games.
Conveniently located in front of the school administration building, this space supports student development in teamwork, discipline, and physical well-being.
School Tuffa Tanks
Markham Road Academy is equipped with Tuffa tanks, which play a vital role in addressing water shortages at the school. These tanks provide a reliable and sustainable water supply for daily operations, ensuring that students and staff have access to clean water at all times. Known for their durability and long-lasting construction, Tuffa tanks are designed to withstand harsh environmental conditions, making them an ideal solution for the school’s water needs. Their robust design ensures minimal maintenance, and they help the school maintain water availability during dry periods, contributing to a more self-sufficient and resilient educational environment. The installation of these tanks supports the academy’s commitment to sustainability and ensures that the school’s water resources are efficiently managed, even in times of scarcity
